Synthecology combines the possibilities of tele-immersive collaboration with a new architecture for virtual reality sound immersion to create a environment where musicians from all locations can interactively perform and create sonic environments.

Special Treatment

'Special Treatment' is a virtual reality installation piece that uses the Auschwitz II-Birkenau camp as the setting to explore the concepts of persistence and memory. In contrast to traditional art media, 'Special Treatment' is experienced, rather than viewed. In the experience, the participant can navigate around the camp of their own free will and, through a mixture of memories, both historical and contemporary, engage thematic aspects of what the camp was like in its "prime," and recollections of the camp in the modern day.
